Words From The Warden

Thank you to everyone who helped organize and host the annual meeting on the 15th. Special appreciation goes out to the Men of St. Lukes and the Collegians of the Canterbury Club for preparing a delightful Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner.

The annual meeting was very well attended, offering a positive and engaging experience for all. The reports presented were concise and informative, helping keep everyone up-to-date with important matters. A lovely breakfast was graciously hosted by Karen Goodell and Karen Doughty-Fullin, making the morning even more enjoyable. The time spent together was meaningful, and the meeting left me feeling encouraged, seeing that we all are finding joy in our work, as reflected in Ecclesiastes 3:13.

The pancake supper was an energetic and fun event. Mardi Gras themed decorations and lively party music helped create a festive atmosphere for everyone. Coach Mike Caravana prepared around 20 pounds of sausage links, which participants eagerly enjoyed. Kim and I sat with the Caravanas; Ashlin shared entertaining stories from their honeymoon, which could easily inspire a Hallmark movie. Bill Wilken, after hearing about their adventures, was surprised and delighted that their marriage has lasted 40 years.

In Hebrews 10, we are encouraged to engage in activities that foster community and relationships. It is clear that through these events, we have not only met but exceeded that encouragement, strengthening our bonds and creating lasting memories.

Peace,
Henry Zaborniak, Senior Warden
