COMMITTEES

St. Luke’s offers a wide variety of opportunities to support our parish.

Children & Adult Education Committees
These two committees work closely with the Director of Christian Education and the Rector to develop educational opportunities for all age groups.

Fellowship Committee
Organizes Sunday Meet-in-the-Middle and oversees special events such as the Palm Sunday Breakfast, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, and baptisms, and funerals.

Finance Committee
Has oversight for the annual audit, the Sunday counters, investments, and the overall accounting programs and financial reporting.

Health & Wellness Ministry
Is a group that encourages the church and wider community to renew their role in health care, which includes promoting health, preventing disease, responding to crisis, and emphasizing a holistic approach to wellness and health.

Historic Preservation Committee
Keeps our history alive, plans commemorative celebrations and maintains our inventories of artifacts and archives.

Membership Committee
Provides a means to welcome new members and integrate them into the life of the Parish.

Pastoral Care
Supports the clergy in helping to provide care and support to members. The parish prayer ministries are a vital part of this committee as are the Lay Eucharistic Visitors.

Property, Building & Grounds Committee
Has the responsibility for the maintenance of all of the church property.

Outreach Committee
St. Luke’s has a tradition of outreach, hands-on and financial, including weekly offerings of food to the Market Street Pantry; support for the Open Door ministry in Atlanta, Healing Art Mission in Haiti and numerous local social service organizations including St. Vincent Haven. We present the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning to support The Food Pantry Network of Licking County.

Stewardship Committee
Oversees fund raising events, educates the parish on giving opportunities such as estate planning, and coordinates the yearly pledge campaign.

Worship Committee
Plans and evaluates the worship services, and schedules and trains chalicists, ushers, greeters, lectors, and acolytes. The music program and the Altar Guild are important parts of this committee.
