PIMIL provides financial assistance to the economically challenged families for the children to attend school.  There will be a display of PIMIL and of the book, The Story of PIMIL. Rev. Sunday May 24 | Topic: Kite Making On Pentecost
Join us this Pentecost, May 24, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church during Coffee: Grounds for Discussion as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit with creativity, community, and joy! Together, we will make colorful kites as a reminder of the Spirit moving among us like the wind, lifting our hearts and drawing us closer together. As the song from Mary Poppins says, “Let’s go fly a kite!” After we create our kites, we’ll head over to Bryn Du Mansion to fly them together. Wear red to celebrate Pentecost, come comfortably dressed for outdoor fun, and join us for a spirited day of fellowship, laughter, and soaring kites!

Sunday May 31 | Topic: Kairos Outside Central Ohio (KOCO) Prison Ministry
Facilitator: Deacon Jakie Burns

She will talk about the Kairos Outside Central Ohio (KOCO) prison ministry. In short, the mission of KOCO is to provide support and encouragement for any woman who has an incarcerated loved one.

KOCO team members build community beginning with a weekend retreat and then continue to offer activities and gatherings throughout the year as an ongoing presence for these women. The reason this support is so important is because often these women feel alone and isolated in society and often are treated as if they are guilty by association. As Episcopalians it is our privilege to be a welcoming presence to these women.

There are two opportunities for Christian community to participate during the weekend retreat being held at Procter Center where we can show the love of Jesus as a community of believers. The gatherings are a surprise for the ladies, please be prompt.
