Now Seeking A Treasurer

St. Luke’s Treasurer plays a pivotal role in the parish community. In accordance with our church-wide and diocesan canons, the Vestry Treasurer oversees the Parish's fiscal responsibilities in consultation with the Rector and Vestry.

In addition to being detail-oriented and numbers-friendly, the person in the role of the treasurer should be curious, relational, and be able to see the big picture.

As they help implement the Rector's and Vestry's directives, the Treasurer should be curious and ask clarifying questions that help everyone achieve their goals while also supporting the church's financial needs. The Treasurer will need to maintain strong working relationships with parishioners and the wider community to support the parish's work. Finally, the Treasurer should have a good understanding of the overall financial operations of the church and be able to help parish leadership think strategically to achieve their goals.

The Treasurer at St. Luke’s acts as a critical bridge between the parish staff, the Vestry, and the external accounting firm. While many daily tasks are delegated to the Parish Administrator or the Parish Accounting Firm, the Treasurer maintains ultimate oversight and accountability for the integrity of the church’s financial systems.
