A Grateful Celebration

The 20th Annual Granville Turkey Trot

This Thanksgiving, the Granville Turkey Trot reached an incredible milestone—its 20th annual race—and the impact was nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to the collective generosity, dedication, and heart of the entire Licking County community, this year’s Turkey Trot raised $136,000 for the Food Pantry Network of Licking County, surpassing 2024’s total by $5,000! This marked 2025 as one of the most successful years in the event’s history.

The Granville Turkey Trot has always been about more than a race. It is a celebration of gratitude, togetherness, service, and community—values deeply rooted in the life of St. Luke’s Church. We are profoundly thankful to the Granville Community Foundation for its continued leadership and support, as well as to the many generous sponsors and donors whose contributions made this milestone possible.

We are deeply grateful to the residents, families, runners, walkers, and supporters from across Licking County who show up year after year—braving brisk Thanksgiving mornings, cheering along the course, and giving so generously. Your enthusiasm and participation are the heartbeat of the Turkey Trot, and you make the day meaningful and memorable.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the many local businesses and vendors who donated in-kind gifts. Your generosity helps make the race possible while ensuring that more funds are directed to those who need them most.

This event would not happen without the dedication of our incredible volunteers—from the planning committee and early-morning coffee makers, set-up crews, and those who staff the tables at every packet pick-up and registration event, to the road warriors, traffic controllers, those who set up the race and stay late to pack it all up for next year. Your time, energy, and joyful service embody the very best of our community.

As we reflect on the 20th year of the Granville Turkey Trot, we do so with deep gratitude—for the blessings we share, the neighbors we serve, and the community that continues to come together in the spirit of thanksgiving. Thank you for being part of a tradition that turns generosity into lasting impact.
