Join The Episcopal 101 Study

What is epiclesis? How about a covenant? Can you fit it in the Ciborium? Do we believe in being “born again”?

Would you be interested in learning about these things and more? Are you considering being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church? Reaffirmed? If your answer is “YES,” please join our Episcopal 101 study after church during Coffee: Grounds for Discussion, starting on January 11, 2026.

Do I need to be confirmed or received?

If you have been baptized and would like to make a mature profession of your faith as an adult, you are very welcome to be confirmed. If you have not been baptized, please tell Rev. Julia, and she will gladly baptize you!

If you have been confirmed in another apostolic denomination (Roman Catholic, Lutheran, or Orthodox background), you would be received. All other faith traditions would be confirmed.

If you have been confirmed and would like to reaffirm your profession of faith, we welcome you as well.

We will journey together for four weeks using Rev. Jenifer Gamber and Dr. Lisa Kimball’s book, My Faith, My Life. We will have copies of the book available for purchase before our first class, or you may find the updated edition online (see details below).

Please email the office by December 24, 2025, if you would like a copy of the book purchased on your behalf.
Assisting Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Wendell N. Gibbs will join us on February 8, 2026, at our morning service for Confirmation!

If you are curious, come. If you have been a lifelong Episcopalian, come. Let’s take this journey together!

God’s Peace,
Julia+
