Stewardship 2026: For Such A Time As This

It has been a blessing to join you all on the journey of the last few weeks as we have shared the story of who St. Luke’s has been, who St. Luke’s is now, and where the Holy Spirit is calling St. Luke’s to go in the future. We will have a final presentation in Coffee: Grounds for Discussion after our service, regarding planned giving, stock gifts, the tax benefits of giving, and the launch of our Capital Campaign: Windows to the Future.

It is powerful to make the decision to tithe. As I shared on Sunday, as we reflect on our season of stewardship, I ask that you not just think about tithing in terms of money, pledges, budgets, and programming. All these things are good and holy, allowing us to further the mission of the Church, but stewardship is about care. It is about the care that God gives us every day and the care that God entrusts to us.

Please bring your pledge card with you to church this Sunday. We will call everyone forward to place their pledge card into the basket this Sunday at the offertory. If you have already submitted your pledge card or pledged online, we will have a “Journey” ticket for you to pick up in the back of the church to bring forward.

It is a powerful moment to walk to the altar with your offering to God. Remember that you are offering not just your financial commitment, but also yourself through the sharing of your time and talent. Thank you.

The stories shared over the last few weeks have offered moments to reflect upon the joy and love shared by this church family. What a gift it is to be a part of this family. Thank you.
