Market Street Pantry

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28).

Good things seem to happen for programs that do-good work. Our Market Street Pantry has often been blessed in this way. Perhaps the Holy Spirit is assisting our efforts. For example, other area Churches have contributed money and/or food donations and/or volunteers at various times. Trinity Episcopal has repeatedly collected large amounts of food for our pantry. Denison University’s swim team has raised money and collected canned goods for us. Additionally, some Denison students and Kendal residents have volunteered at Market Street.

Local businesses have helped us with critical needs. The PPG paint store next door to Market Street lets the pantry put their trash and some cardboard in their dumpsters. Also, we shall be forever grateful to Trillium Farms for donating several hundred eggs every week for distribution to our pantry clients. They’ve done this for several years now.

So, when you volunteer at Market Street you become part of a program that good things happen to. It’s always nice to be with a winner. And by the way, your joining us will be yet another good thing that happens to our pantry.
