St. Luke's Building & Grounds Report

Vestry approved the plan to repair and revitalize the front of the church. Work will begin in late April by Phillips Construction (they did the exterior brick work on the Parish House). The plans include repairing the stairs and cheek walls on each side of the steps and repairing the bases of the columns. The cost of this work is north of $40,000.

Some of the work is more cosmetic than structural, but a dilapidated entry makes it appear that Christ’s people (His church) are also in disrepair. Viability comes with visibility.

Keith Myers and Pastor Julia are working on a plan for the Rector’s office remodel. More to come on that.

Thanks to both Bill Wilkins and Keith for their ongoing work to keep our parish properties healthy and beautiful. Thanks to treasurer Jean for continuing to be fiscally responsible and creatively helpful. Thanks to Tom Bancroft, Junior Warden for his help in prioritizing building needs. And thanks Pastor Julia for her enthusiastic leadership.

Senior Warden
