A very important ministry that helps transport others who do not have access to transportation or unable to drive themselves.
This group of dedicated Lay Ministers assist in a variety of ways:
- They help bring the homebound to Worship services at St. Luke’s on Sunday and/or Wednesday when possible.
- Drive people to various medical appointments. (doctor’s, physical therapy, chemotherapy, rehab)
- Helps people visit spouses in hospitals and rehab.
- Assist with transportation for elderly and people who are unable to drive themselves.
Trips are up to an hour or two. Most of the time transporters will wait, if their time permits. At time, transporter will need to be aware of trunk space for crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.
Transportation vehicle should be easily accessible. (easy in and out for people being transported).
This ministry is on an ‘as needed’ and ‘upon request’ basis. Parishioners participating in this ministry will be placed on a transportation list.
Transportation requests may be made to the St. Luke’s office at 740-587-0167 (email@example.com)
