St. Luke’s Choir

If you are looking for something for your regular routine, consider St. Luke’s Choir.

St. Luke’s Choir is formed primarily of volunteer singers who rehearse and sing weekly usually at one of the Sunday morning services. Assisted by college students, called “Choral Scholars”, the choir sings a repertoire of varying difficulty weekly – so the ability to read music is helpful. Rehearsals are 7:30 – 9:00 pm, Thursdays, September through May.

We are inviting all singers from St. Luke’s and the community to join the Adult and Chorister Choirs in the performance of Mark Hayes’ Requiem to be performed Good Friday, April 14, 2017 at 7:30 pm. We know many of you have sung with us before so we welcome your return as well as first-time singers. This is an exciting contemporary setting of the Requiem Mass that will be a Granville premiere. Rehearsals will be Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:15 pm with a couple of Saturday rehearsals (dates and times to be announced). Attendance at all rehearsals is not mandatory, but a regular attendance to learn the music and cues will certainly be helpful. Scores as well as rehearsal recordings will be made available to all singers. We also have need for instrumentalists (two flutes, oboe, clarinet in B-flat, bassoon, horn, and timpani). For more information or to let us know you would like to participate, contact Steve Trumbull, Director of Music, by email at
