Choristers choir

If you know a child who likes to sing, the Choristers Choir may be a good fit!

Music education forms the core of this choir – instead of teaching music by rote, we teach children how to read music. This is a skill that will last a lifetime, and we take that seriously! However, we also have fun – regular choir outings to mini-golf, ice skating and laser tag. If the interest and commitment is high enough, big trips can be planned (such as the England Trip in 2012).
Choristers Choir for elementary school age children (Grades 2–5). Older children are welcome and encouraged to join, as well! Rehearsal schedule below:
Saturdays, 2:00 – 3:00 pm (Choristers Choir)
Thursday, 7:30 – 9:00 pm (Adult Choir).

*The Choristers are a long-term commitment, and sing most Sunday mornings.
If you have any interest, please speak to any choir member.

We are inviting all singers from St. Luke’s and the community to join the Adult and Chorister Choirs in the performance of Mark Hayes’ Requiem to be performed Good Friday, April 14, 2017 at 7:30 pm. We know many of you have sung with us before so we welcome your return as well as first-time singers. This is an exciting contemporary setting of the Requiem Mass that will be a Granville premiere. Rehearsals will be Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:15 pm with a couple of Saturday rehearsals (dates and times to be announced). Attendance at all rehearsals is not mandatory, but a regular attendance to learn the music and cues will certainly be helpful. Scores as well as rehearsal recordings will be made available to all singers. We also have need for instrumentalists (two flutes, oboe, clarinet in B-flat, bassoon, horn, and timpani). For more information or to let us know you would like to participate, contact Steve Trumbull, Director of Music, by email at
